This has been a topic that has come around a few times and the article referenced here attempts to walk through the various considerations at play in the areas of the 64 bit interface identifier, the delineation point between end site and network part, and the HD ratio and put them all together in the scenario of exploring the concept of just how conservative (or liberal) should we set the dial on IPv6 allocation policies?
