Proposal summary
----------------

This is a global policy proposal governing the allocation of reclaimed
IPv4 address space from IANA to the Regional Internet Registries (RIRs)
after IANA's existing free pool of unallocated IPv4 address space is
depleted.

This proposal is being submitted in all RIR regions with a view to it
becoming a global policy.

Summary of discussion to date

- It was asked how the proposed policy would affect functions associated
  with IP addresses, such as reverse DNS delegations and whois
  maintenance.

- It was suggested that a similar policy proposal might be useful for
  LIR and NIR returns of space.
