[sig-policy] LACNIC X and RIPE 54 Proposals update




Dear all

Policy proposals of interest to our community were recently discussed at
the LACNIC X and RIPE 54 meetings. Please see below for a summary.


LACNIC X
--------

Policy proposals that reached consensus:

     LAC-2007-08 IANA Policy for Allocation of ASN Blocks to Regional
                 Internet Registries
     LAC-2007-07 Global Policy for the Allocation of the Remaining IPv4
                 Address Space
     LAC-2007-04 Eliminating References to "Interim" Status of the IPv6
                 Policy

A policy proposal that did not reach consensus:

     LAC-2007-09 IPv4 Countdown Policy

One policy proposal, LAC-2007-02 eGLOP Multicast Address Assignments,
was submitted after the deadline for policy proposals to be discussed at
LACNIC X. It was therefore presented as an informational proposal only.

RIPE 54

The following policy proposals were presented at the RIPE meeting.
Please, note, however, that decisions about policy proposals are not
made at RIPE meetings.
