Dear colleagues

Following the four-week discussion period for the proposal, "Application of
the HD ratio to IPv4", I am concluding that the community has no interest in
moving this proposal forward. Therefore, I formally declare this proposal to
be abandoned.


Summary of four week discussion
-------------------------------

The final comment period for the proposal ended on 14 April 2006.
During the comment period, there were three commments made about the
proposal:

   - Two comments in favour of abandoning the proposal.
   - One analysis of the impact of the HD ratio on projected lifetimes
     of the unallocated IPv4 address pool.

There were no comments in favour of this proposal.
