[sig-policy] Question about IPv6 sub-TLA allocation criteria.
Dear APNIC secretariat,
Could you please teach me about general criteria of IPv6 sub-TLA allocation?
After the bootstrap period, General Criteria will come into effect.
First rule of this criteria is:
a. The requesting organization's IPv6 network must have exterior routing
protocol peering relationships with the IPv6 networks of at least
three other organizations that have a sub-TLA allocated to them.
If an organization want to apply sub-TLA with this rule, must the
organization already have had "peering relationship with three IPv6
sub-TLA" at the time of application ? Or is it OK if the organization
have a concrete plan for having peerings at the time of application?
If peering relationship is needed at the time of application, the
requesting organization must have address spaces (NLA or SLA) under
other sub-TLA, and must peer with this address. I think this (peering
with some organizations using other sub-TLA's NLA address) breaks
the aggregation model of IPv6.
Yours sincerely,
