[sig-dns] Call for volunteers to chair DNS operations SIG

Dear SIG member

Due to the resignation of Joe Abley, APNIC is seeking a volunteer
to serve as Chair of the DNS operations Special Interest Group
(SIG). The Chair is a volunteer position whose responsibilities
include:

- chairing the SIG session
- developing the agenda
- posting proposals and information about the SIG to the SIG mailing
  list
- encouraging and facilitating discussion on the mailing list and at
  the APNIC meeting

If you are interested in becoming the Chair, please include a short
biography and description of your interest in an email to
<sig@apnic.net> and CC <sig-dns-chair@apnic.net>.

The deadline for receiving nominations is 27 February 2007.

If there are any volunteers, there will be elections at the DNS
operations SIG meeting at APNIC 23 in Bali, Indonesia, 26 February
- 2 March 2007 to choose a new Chair.

All SIG Chairs undertake this work on a volunteer basis. The APNIC
Secretariat speaks on behalf of the community in being very
appreciative of the work done by the Chairs and Co-chairs.
