Hi Joe,

Trust all's well. I just wanted to follow up and request you to post the
call for proposals and presentation at the next DNS-Operations SIG to the
sig-dns@apnic.net ML.

Call's have been made by the secretariat on 8 June and I wanted sig-chairs
to personally post to their respective sigs as well. Thanks for doing this.

Here is an edited version to suit the DNS ops sig which will be on Thursday
8 Sep from 16:00 - 17.30 that you can post.

20th APNIC Open Policy Meeting
DNS Operations SIG
8 September 2005, 16:00 - 17:30
Hanoi, Vietnam


Dear Colleagues,

The next DNS operations Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings will be held
in Hanoi, Vietnam as part of APNIC's 20th Open Policy Meeting. The DNS ops
SIGs are open fora for discussing technical, policy, and operational issues
relating to the management of Internet resources within the Asia Pacific
region.

This email is a request for contributions. Policy proposals and
presentations are welcome from anyone interested in the management of
Internet resources in the Asia Pacific region.

There are two types of presentations that can be made at a SIG: policy
proposals (P) or informational presentations (I).

Policy proposals need to be submitted to the DNS ops SIG mailing list at
least 4 weeks in advance of the meeting, in text format. Requests to give an
informational presentation can be made at any time to the SIG Chair.

If you would like to make a policy proposal to a DNS ops SIG at the meeting
in Hanoi, please submit your proposal by 10 August 2005, using the online
form at:

Alternatively you can send your proposal in text format to the DNS ops
SIG Chair, cc'ing <sig@apnic.net>. Proposals will be forwarded to the
DNS ops SIG mailing list by the Secretariat. The Chair of the DNS ops SIG
will review the proposals.


Requirements for policy proposals
---------------------------------

Submissions should be:

- in TEXT format
- received no later than 10 August 2005
- relevant to the SIG

SIG archives and guidelines for presenters, including useful information,
helpful hints, and sample presentation templates are available at:

http://www.apnic.net/meetings/archive/sigs/

Agenda slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so a
timely submission of your proposal would be welcome and to your advantage.
