I would like to let you know of another resource. Patrik Faltstrom has a mailing list called "dns-cleaning@paf.se" that was set up to help define what is meant by lame. There is little traffic on that list, however.

If I can get a chance, I'll seek out archives.

Also, I am preparing a slide set for the DNS WG meeting at RIPE (in three weeks). The slides are centering on other engineering issues we are noticing within ARIN, this slide set is different from what Ray presented in SF (and what I repeated in Memphis).
