Dear colleagues

Following the four-week discussion period for the proposal, "A proposal
for whois database query", I am concluding that the community has no
interest in moving this proposal forward. Therefore, I formally declare
this proposal to be abandoned.


Summary of four week discussion
-------------------------------

The final comment period for the proposal ended on 11 April 2006.
During the comment period, there was one post analysing issues on
which the proposal is based and inviting discussion. However, the
post did not express a position on the proposal's future status.

Four other posts were administrative, soliciting comments on the
proposal and clarifying the date the comment period closed.

There were no comments in favour of this proposal.
