International Open Source Network

The Asia-Pacific Development Information Programme (APDIP) today
launched the International Open Source Network (IOSN), which will
serve as a Centre of Excellence on Open Source technologies and
applications. It will aid countries in sharing information on Open
Source (OS), assist with the development of needed toolkits and
resource materials, support "localization" efforts and, generally,
help facilitate and co-ordinate OS programmes and initiatives through

Pan Asia ICT R&D Grants Programme: 3rd Competition Round
The Pan Asia ICT R&D Grants Programme (a joint effort of APDIP, IDRC
, APNIC and AMIC) is pleased to announce the January 2003 Competition
round for R&D grant applications. This is a special competition round
of the programme in which proposals addressing the themes of the
World Summit on the information Society (WSIS) are being actively
sought. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to apply.
