Mobile Computing for MFI's

Greetings,

Just wanted everybody to know that our organization has completed the
full-fledged development of the Portfolio Manager, a comprehensive
field-based IT solution catering to the needs of the micro-finance
sector. The solution shall be used by the executives who are on the
field for collections/disbursements. We have just finished its phased
implementation with one of the leading micro-finance institutions in
India. The technology involves the use of mobile information devices
(MID’s), mobile printers and communication software to interact with
the centralized database. The solution facilitates faster financial
transactions, detailed portfolio analyses, up-to-date information
availability and a host of other features that enhance the efficiency
of the field-force. Detailed information on the Portfolio Manager can
be obtained from the CGAP software product Database.

I would certainly appreciate further discussions regarding the use of
such a technology in micro-finance institutions across the globe and
the kind of feedback it has received worldwide. We will be glad to
