Description: In this presentation, Barry McGaw, Director for 
Education, OECD, outlines OECD's view of lifelong learning, 
objectives of lifelong learning policies, how to build the foundation 
for lifelong learning and enhance the value of learning, and how and 
why developing countries can learn from the OECD countries' 
experience in this area. The presentation was held at "Education-
Lifelong Learning and the Knowledge Economy," a conference taking 
place October 9-10, 2002 in Stuttgart, Germany.
