Query... mailing-lists related to South Asia

Dear S-Asia-IT member:

Currently, I'm writing an article on South Asian mailing lists... how
effective these can be, and how they're being used.

In my recent search, I came across some mailing-lists which I didn't
know had existed earlier.

Are other list-members on other lists which they find useful?

If so, which are they? How did you learn of them? What are the special
features of the list? Have you started any lists yourselves? What are the
strong points and weaknesses of Internet-based mailing-lists, from your
perspective? Is South Asia using the same effectively enough?

Please do pass on any insights you could share on this issue. You could
send it to my personal address fred@bytesforall.org (or via this list, if
the moderators don't deem the discussion to be off-topic).
