Statistics on ICTs in Education, Science, Culture, Media for WSIS

March 14, 2002 - A statistical report giving a global picture of the 
use of ICTs in the areas of UNESCO's competence is presently being 
established by the UNESCO Institute of Statistics (UIS) in the 
preparation of he World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) in 
2003 in Geneva. The report will include a representative range of 
quality statistical information and their interpretation so as to 
provide a sound basis of the work of the Summit.
