RMS in India... (Free Software)
Richard M Stallman <rms@gnu.org>, the guru of the Free Software movement,
is visiting India and travelling through Delhi too. If anyone could
arrange an interaction with open minded government officials, it might be
an interesting link-up. Incidentally, Stallman also talks at the Bombay
IIT on Saturday, March 23. FN

Alex M Alex contacted a group called Sarai that is arranging to host
me and also setting up a speech. I have also tried to contact the U
of Delhi CS dept to see if they want a speech.
The main reason I chose to go to Delhi was so I could meet with
government people. There are various efforts to try to put me in
touch with some people I should meet with. If you have government
contacts and think you can help, please write to alex@picopeta.com and
mmathew@mgmt.iisc.ernet.in.

Abstract:
Richard Stallman will speak about the purpose, goals, philosophy,
methods, status, and future prospects of the GNU operating system,
which in combination with the kernel Linux is now used by an
estimated 17 to 20 million users world wide.
