[pacnog] Serial Interface HWIC-Serial

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone had any idea what's the Available bandwidth line
is for (from a show interface SerialX/X/X)

Output queue: 8/1250/64/106050 (size/max total/threshold/drops)
     Conversations 7/257/256 (active/max active/max total)
     Reserved Conversations 0/0 (allocated/max allocated)
     Available Bandwidth 4500 kilobits/secs

I'm asking because we have a HWIC-Serial card with 4 ports. The docs
says if
only 1 interface is active the card can handle up to 8megs otherwise
its 2megs for each
card.

We are using only 1 port and the rest are down. I'm wondering why it
doesn't says
8megs on the Available Bandwidth.

We have a problem with the router interface keep resetting. debug
serial shows HDLC keepalive
sometimes is out of sequence which causes the interface to reset. The
upstream router use
HSSI but we use the HWIC card. We have a HSSI card but we are waiting for
a converter (HSSI-V.35).

The link speed is 6/3 megs.

Appreciate any help.

Regards

Siumafua
