Hey,

I've got an upstream who wants to use a 10.x.x.x/30 for our peering point. Is this unusual? I've always used public IPs for this.

I presume this is a satellite connection ? quite a of satellite providers use RFC 1918 space for control channel of the satellite modems, which is not visible at the IP layer or transit traffic.

It is not unusual, but pain for third parties trying to traceroute / troubleshoot.

Thanks,
