Re: New draft of NIR criteria document
So far, ccTLDs have been recognized by the contry-code on ISO3166.
Most of ccTLDs are in different situations under the Government.
ccTLDs are still discussing on the Government envolvements.
On Paul's document, I am not quite sure about "equivalent" endorsement.
We may need more explains on the term. If it is not related the relavent
Government, then what will be the "equivalent" ?
1.1 Endorsement of NIR
The selection of a particular organisation to act as NIR must be made at a
"national" level within the country or economy concerned, namely by explicit
Government or equivalent endorsement. This endorsement need to be expressed
formally in order for a new NIR to be recognised by APNIC.
Sincerely,
ByungKyu Kim
