RE: NIR Operational Policies DRAFT

Dear Anne and all,

Personally, I would like to send my warmest thanks for circulation of APNIC document
which summarize of NIR Operational Policy.

Though minor items, after going though this documents, I would like to indicate some
points necessary to modify.
First, in Section 2.7, you had better insert remark about "experimental addresses"
after "excluding multicast adddresses" for more accurate expression.
Second, as you are already aware, in the case of NIR's request, APNIC staffs will be
difficult to keep response time of "Service Levels" in Section 3.5. Accordingly, In my
opinion, APNIC had better change this into applicable time.
And lastly, according to this document, APNIC remarks just "Transfer of membership
from NIR to APNIC" in Section 4.2. Therefore, if it possible, please specify the reverse
case which will be happen.
That's all I would like to suggest.

Thank you again for all of these.
And see you in Japan meeting.

Best regards,

Yong Wan Ju

Subject: NIR Operational Policies DRAFT

Dear NIR members of APNIC,

Attached is the first draft of the document :

"Operational Policies for National Internet Registries operating in the
APNIC region"

This will be presented at the forthcoming Open NIR meeting in Japan. The
document describes the procedural interactions between APNIC and the NIR.
It does not discuss address policies.

Feedback from the NIRs on this document is particularly welcomed.

I would like to ask that feedback is sent to this list no later than Monday
26th August, so as to allow sufficient time to incorporate changes into the
document prior to the meeting.

Many thanks and Kind regards,

Anne
