Re: RE: blocking spam emails and update the database

Hi John and All,

Thank you for your email.

CNNIC have received a lot of complain letters and spam reports everyday from other countries or inside China, and some members of CNNIC told us that they can not access to some foreign Co. maybe due to the IP address restrain, we are worried about the issue.

According to this issue, Internet Society of China(http://www.isc.org.cn/) raised a regulation this year, that is"China Internet Self-discipline Convention "<http://www.isc.org.cn/20020417/ca39030.htm>, the goal of the Convention is to set a self-discipline regulation for all the China's Network Co. to make the Internet develop orderly and healthily.

As to CNNIC , we tried our best to pass the complain information from abroad to our members ASAP, and we told them to deal with the problem ASAP, we also will always ask our members to give us the valid information of their handlers or registered the information directly in the database.

We hope to see the related law will raise up in the near future.

Thank you!

Regards,

Luo Yan
