Emergency Allocation
Hi all,
Some concerns we raised that the way JPNIC deals with urgent
allocation requests is not consistent with that of APNIC.
We would like to implement the same practice as APNIC and therefore
have a few questions about APNIC's "emergency allocation" scheme.
Do you apply it when a hostmaster sees as appropriate, or is there a
certain requirement to receive this type of allocation?
How do you judge the allocation size?
In JPNIC's case, we have made a minimum allocation to urgents cases
and continued evaluation in order to allocate an appropriate size
additionally.
This is based on hostmaster's judgement and it is not publilized as an
official scheme.
We also accept additional allocation requests under 80% utilization
rate if they are able to justify the reason.
We would also be interested to know how APNIC and other NIRs deal with
these cases.
