APNIC NIR Meeting in Taipei on August 30th, from 4pm

Dear Folks,

Please be informed about NIR Meeting in Taipei, which will be held on
Thursday August 30th from 4pm.  This meeting is now open to everyone, not
closed within NIR people.

In this meeting various things on NIR, e.g. operations, allocation
practice and membership.


As you know NIR - National Internet Registry is APNIC's original scheme
that covers a certain nation between APNIC and LIRs.  It works well for
non Engilsh speaking countries and reduce the burden of APNIC, but on the
other hand it is a special membership category and difficult to handle
with ordinary members.

NIR people would like to improve current NIR system to have better
consistency with ordinary membership, so decided to have the discussion
about NIR open to everyone.

nir-discuss mailing list is also now open, everyone can subscribe and
discuss about NIR.  Please refer the following URL to subscribe it.

Agenda for NIR meeting is to be decided through nir-discuss, while I have
already got some application of presentation.

Your participation and discussion, at both the mailing list and the
meeting in Taipei, would be highly appreciated.
