                                      Chair - Takashi Arano

The Address Policy Special Interest Group (SIG) will be held in Brisbane
on 26th and 27th October as part of the APNIC policy meeting. This SIG is
an open forum for the Asia-Pacific region for the discussion of policies
governing the management of public IP address space. Everyone is welcome!

This email is a request for presentations from all of you from the
Asia-Pacific region.

The issue you propose to discuss should have some relevance to address
policy and can be related or not-related to the topics that APNIC has
already raised, such as:

  - Criteria for PA allocations
  - Under what circumstances should APNIC make PI assignments
  - GPRS infrastructure and mobile phone address requirements
  - IPv6 assignment policies
  - The future of ISP confederations

If you would like to join us in the SIG, send your proposal to
<arano@nic.ad.jp>, cc-ing to <sig@apnic.net>. Proposals should be sent no
later than 25th August, 2000.

For details of previous papers in this SIG, please refer to
http://www.apnic.net/amm2000/sigs/ .

                          Requirements
                          ------------
The proposal:

  - should be related to address policy
  - should be within 1000 words,

and

  - should describe your perspective on the topic including its pros/cons
    from various aspects
  - should indicate the time required (I anticipate that a time limit of
15 minutes for the presentation will be set).

The tentative schedule is:

  25th August - Proposal deadline
