us: Parents can help teens avoid pornography pitfalls
The prefrontal cortex, according to Timothy P. Faust,
MSW, is the last part of the brain to develop. It is
also the precise area that controls impulses,
prioritizes, and regulates and interprets emotions.
The prefrontal cortex was once believed to have
completed developed by age 12-13. Research now
confirms remarkable changes and growth continue in
that area until the early 20s. This new discovery is
great news for parents pulling their hair out, trying
to figure out the adolescent years (12-19). When does

inboxes have improved to the point that doing much
more will needlessly kill legitimate e-mail, said Carl
Hutzler, America Online Inc.'s anti-spam coordinator.
So e-mail gatekeepers are shifting gears.
