news proposal
Hi all
No doubt many of you enjoy my news on domain name issues
along with the general internet news. I am now trying to
make this into a business and am seeking organisations that
are willing to buy the news.
The benefits of buying my news would be:
* priority to the news as is currently the case with auDA
who receive the domain news 2-5 days ahead of having the
news posted to the mailing list
* formatted into a format that is more manageable to use
with subject headings, not just domain news
* additional news on topics and regions/countries that are
of interest apart from issues I already cover
* deleting news that is not of interest to you.
I am proposing to charge A$100 per month, not including any
bank transfer charges and taxes such as goods and services
taxes or value added taxes. This would give the news I
currently monitor, but would be formatted into an easier to
read format with subject headings. Currently A$100 equals
approximately €59/US$68/₤41.
For additional searching for news I don’t currently cover,
or for extra formatting or any additional services, these
charges can be negotiated. An extra service could also be
limited coverage of news in languages other than English.
These charges can also be negotiated for non-government
organisations.
I am also interested in discussing other possibilities such
as research work, whether I do it here in Australia or if
it involves relocation.
I am not proposing to drop the news as it now stands in the
foreseeable future, but I am also being realistic in that
the news won’t go on forever with minimal support.

get in touch, I’d like to hear from you. Or if you know of
any body or organisation that may be interested but may not
be on any of the mailing lists I post to, feel free to
forward the proposal or forward me their contact details.
