| So Gordon, how do you know Brian Reid? What is Brian's role in the
ICANN mess?

| Since 1996 when i did some consulting for him.
relatively small..... some of the MCI MOU jerks once threatened to take MCIs business away from Dec if Brian didn't sign the MOU. If i remember correctly the outcome Brian told them to get stuffed. In general Brian Reid is a delightful and honorable man. By definition that means that he had virtually no role in the ICANN mess. |

| Good. I used to work with him and was always impressed at his being clear and reasonable. |

| You know how when you go to a dual and you ask for a 'second'? rumor
has it that Brian Reid was Jim rutts second on the day of the showdown.
I suspect but cannot prove that Dave Farber was there as a second for IBM dave prides himself on operating behind the scenes..... on this occasion he failed |

| I've known Brian Reid since I was 9 years old. One of the "Gods" of
our techworld but little known to most folk and a truly humorous guy. Actually
I asked Farber and Kahn to come also. I knew Patrick from my days as a tech
exec at Thomson. They had a couple of "tech gods" that they wanted to bring,
but got turned down. Having Kahn, Farber, and Reid at the table was absolutely
critical to the "message" that I sent. tease tease I know.... more after
April 1. well maybe a little more before then but nothing juicy!!!
