A crime wave festers in cyberspace
Cybercrime, long a painful side effect of the innovations
of Internet technology, is reaching new dimensions,
security specialists say. Spurred by a tightening economy,

Child porn list leaked to Sunday Times
The Sunday Times has obtained Operation Ore's entire list
of UK subscribers to child porn sites. Containing 7,272
names, the list includes 'at least 20 senior executives'

Web Activity Gives Plaintiff Chance for Jurisdictional
Discovery
Even if a Web site is both commercial and interactive, a
court doesn't have jurisdiction over its operator unless
there is also proof that the company has "purposefully
availed" itself of doing business in that state, the 3rd
Circuit ruled in a trademark dispute involving Toys "R" Us.
It's the first time the 3rd Circuit has considered the
standard for personal jurisdiction based on a defendant's
operation of a commercially interactive Web site.
