GENERIC DOMAINS OFFER LITTLE PROTECTION FROM UDRP CLAIMS (from BNA

Two new ICANN UDRP decisions suggest that a generic name
alone is not nearly enough to protect a registrant.  A NAF
panelist has transfered the paint.biz domain to a French
company, while the University of Iowa has won

Newspaper in court over name battle on Internet
A NEWSPAPER and a businessman are spending tens of thousands of
pounds battling it out in court over an internet domain name.
Business AM, the newspaper owned by the Swedish company Bonnier, is
taking on Greg Lloyd Smith after he registered nearly 20 internet
domains related to the newspaper's name. The newspaper has published
several articles about Mr Lloyd Smith's alleged business dealings.
