HK use, Napster deal & Singapore Net paper closes
More HK people log on to Internet
The percentage of Hong Kong people using the Internet rose from 42
per cent to 43 per cent in the past year, according to consultancy
Taylor Nelson Sofres, while online shoppers remained unchanged at 7
per cent of Internet users, or 3 per cent of the population.

Napster wins UK deal with independents
Napster has sealed a deal with independent record labels in Britain
that will give it access to hundreds of thousands of songs, including
the works of artists such as Moby and Tricky and even crooner Tom
Jones.

Net-oriented paper closes
Singapore's main publishing firm will close a newspaper designed for
young, Internet-savvy readers after it lost S$13.3 million (about
HK$56.98 million) in less than a year.
