I think it is a good idea to test it on something which will see a lot of
use, certainly before it is handed out to an LIR. I've certainly used
223.255.255.0/24 in my lab with no ill effects, but I imagine there will be
kit out there that doesn't have quite the same idea as some of the things
I've tested.%
