Dear Colleague,

APNIC has much pleasure in inviting you to attend APNIC's 14th Open
Policy Meeting being held at the International Conference Center,
Kitakyushu, Japan, from 3 to 6 September 2002.

APNIC meetings are a major forum for discussing technology and policy
issues relevant to the Asia Pacific Internet community. The meeting
programme includes APNIC training, tutorials, Special Interest Groups
(SIGs) and the APNIC Member Meeting (AMM). Details of the meeting

Register by 2 August for the early bird fee
-------------------------------------------
To take advantage of the early bird registration fee, a saving of $US150
for the Open Policy Meeting, please register by 2 August 2002. It is
also very important to arrange visas and accommodation as soon as
possible (see below). Attendance at the APNIC Member Meeting on 6
September 2002 is free of charge for APNIC members. The online

Visa applications
-----------------
Citizens of some countries may need to apply for entry visas in advance.
It is strongly recommended that delegates contact their local Japanese
Consular Office as soon as possible to determine if a visa is required.

Accommodation
-------------
APNIC has arranged block hotel bookings, providing special discount
rates for meeting delegates at three hotels near the Conference Center.
Delegates should make hotel reservations as soon as possible to avoid
