avoting contact

Dear colleagues

This mail explains an important change to the voting procedures in APNIC elections, which is intended to give you better and more secure control
of your voting rights.

We have now created a new type of contact in MyAPNIC, called "voting
contact", that allows you to clearly indicate which people in your
company are authorised to vote in APNIC elections.

Only registered voting members will be able to vote in online elections.

By default, all existing corporate contacts will be registered as voting
contacts. However, corporate contacts can use MyAPNIC to delegate that
voting authority to other individuals.

Please take the time now to review your voting contacts in MyAPNIC:

  https://my.apnic.net

If you plan to send a staff member to APNIC 23 to vote in person, please
register that person as a voting contact in advance. Alternatively, if
you plan to send a proxy form, please ensure that it is signed by your
registered voting contact. In both cases, this will help to quickly
verify that the ballot papers are issued to the properly authorised
individual.

Members who do not use MyAPNIC are still able to vote in the paper
ballot; however, if you are able to use MyAPNIC, we encourage you to
protect your vote by logging in to set up your corporate and voting
contacts.

If you have any questions, please contact helpdesk@apnic.net.

Kind regards
