APNIC service maintenance

Dear colleagues

On Thursday 11 May 2006, APNIC will upgrade its master whois server to a newer
software release. For more information, please visit:

Time of upgrade
---------------

    Date:    Thursday 11 May 2006
    Time:    7:00 - 9:00 AM Brisbane time (UTC +10)

Affected services
-----------------

    - Whois updates sent to auto-dbm@apnic.net will be queued
      for approximately 2 hours (but will then be processed normally)
    - Whois update through MyAPNIC will be disabled during the upgrade
    - DNS updates will be delayed by approximately 2 hours

Unaffected services
-------------------

    Whois queries will operate normally
    DNS queries will operate normally
    All other services are unaffected
