[apnic-talk] [Apnic-announce] Call for volunteers to serve asCo-chair of the Policy SIG

Dear Colleagues

Following the election of Kenny Huang as chair of the Policy Special 
Interest Group (SIG) at APNIC 19 last week, there is now a vacancy for a 
co-chair. The duties of the co-chair are to assist in the following:

 - co-chairing the SIG session
 - developing the agenda
 - being active in moderating discussions on the SIG mailing list
 - posting proposals and information about the SIG to the appropriate
   SIG mailing list

If you are interested in this performing this role, please send your 
details to:

   - Please also CC your email to <sig@apnic.net>

Please include a brief description of your interest and suitability. The 
deadline for accepting nominations to the position is Friday 8th April 2005.

If there are multiple volunteers, there will be an election at the next 
Policy SIG session at the next APNIC meeting in Hanoi, Vietnam, 6-9 
September to select the new co-chair.

All SIG chairs and co-chairs undertake this work on a volunteer basis. 
APNIC speaks on behalf of the community in being very appreciative of 
the work done by the chairs and co-chairs.
