The following scheduled maintenance is scheduled to occur on Saturday, 7th
of April 2001 between 08:00 and 12:00 (GMT+1000).

Public Systems/Services Affected:

	svc00.apnic.net - Upgrade of Nameserver software.
	(Tokyo, Japan)
			  DNS Queries will not be answered by this machine
			  for periods of up to 10 minutes.  Client
			  software should fall back to other nameservers.

	jp-gw.apnic.net - Router reconfiguration.
	(Tokyo, Japan)
			  All traffic to svc00.apnic.net may be
			  interrupted during a possible reload.

	staff.apnic.net - Internal upgrades.
	(Brisbane, Australia)
			  E-mail updates to the APNIC database may be
			  delayed during the maintenance window as
			  machines within the APNIC internal network are
			  upgraded.

	whois.apnic.net - IP renumbering.
	(Brisbane, Australia)
			  The main IP address of the APNIC WHOIS
			  server will be changing.  The current IP address
			  for the WHOIS server will continue to answer 
			  WHOIS queries for several months, but will be 
			  phased out after a suitable period.
