[Apnic-announce] Four-byte AS numbers now the default assignment type



Dear colleagues

APNIC has now implemented the second phase of the globally coordinated
transition to four-byte AS numbers.

Organizations submitting requests for AS numbers from 1 January 2009
onwards will be assigned four-byte AS numbers by default. Organizations
wishing to be assigned two-byte AS numbers can state this in the request
form.
