EC ELECTION UPDATE
 - Nominations close Friday 17 February
 - Online voting and proxy voting available

Dear colleagues

This is a reminder that nominations for the three APNIC Executive 
Council (EC) positions are due by 3:30pm UTC+8, Friday 17 February 2006.

An election to fill the three EC positions will be held at the APNIC 
Member Meeting in Perth on Friday 3 March.

The members whose positions are up for re-election are Akinori Maemura, 
Che-Hoo Cheng, and Vinh Ngo. Nominations must be made using the online 
nomination form available at:

     http://www.apnic.net/meetings/21/ec/nomination.html

There are three ways of voting in this election:

  1. Onsite voting
  2. Online voting
  3. Proxy voting


ONSITE VOTING
-------------
If you will be atteding APNIC 21, you can collect your ballot papers 
from the meeting registration desk from 8:00am, Friday 3 March. You must 
complete your ballot papers (1 ballot for each vote you are entitled to) 
and lodge it in the ballot box by 2:00pm UTC+8.

Note: Members that have cast their votes online will not be provided 
with ballot papers onsite.


ONLINE VOTING
-------------
Online voting will be available for this election, via the MyAPNIC web 
site, as follows:

     start: 9:00am UTC+8 on Wednesday 22 February
     end:   9:00am UTC+8 on Wednesday 1 March
     who:   Only registered corporate contacts may vote online

PROXY VOTING
------------
If you are not able to vote online or attend the AMM, you can still make 
your vote count by appointing a proxy to represent you at the meeting. 
Proxy forms are available at:

Completed proxy forms must be returned by fax to +61-7-3858-3199 before 
9:00am UTC+8 on Wednesday 1 March.


VOTING ENTITLEMENT

All APNIC members are entitled to vote, according to their membership
