Introduction
------------
At the 15th APNIC Open Policy Meeting the APNIC Secretariat submitted a
proposal in the Database SIG to remove any person/role and maintainer
objects, not being referenced by valid APNIC Internet resource objects,
from the APNIC Whois Database.
A consensus was reached in the SIG and the Secretariat is now proceeding
with the implementation to remove approximately 28,000 unreferenced
objects.
Affected record holders will be notified by email and any records still
unreferenced after no less than 60 days will be automatically removed
from the APNIC Whois Database and backed up to an archive.
